After about eight months, the last thread is hooked! All 11,800-odd of 'em... 😏

The next step is to fold over and stitch the canvas edges, and add a means to hang it on the wall.

For scale, it is about 70cm(27.5") wide and about 80cm(31.5") high.

In case you're curious, it's a coat of arms I devised for a character in a story I wrote.

A latchhook project consisting of a heraldric shield, about a third done. A green step across the bottom has six white trees on it, and in the blue field above, you can see the bottom few toes of a heraldric dragon. The Dragon is also visible in the pattern marked out on the canvas mesh.

Sunday morning's plans include at least two rows of the latchhook.

I've finished with the green, now just a single row of all blue before I have to break out the black and gold to start the dragon!

Progress has been made on the latchhook wall hanging... nearly all of the green is done, and the white trees are fully surrounded by green thread, with the blue working it's way in from the edges. Only another seven or eight rows until I have to break out the black and gold for the dragon.

My guess is that I've hooked a bit over two thousand threads so far, out of about 11,000 total for this project.

Maybe I should have been less ambitious for my first latchhook project, but meh, I'll get there eventually. 😏

Well, lunchtime is over, time to put this aside and get back to the number crunching... 🙄
Got the seventh row of green done, though it was only a short row. Only ~35 rows of green to go, then ~90 of blue, with others mixed in. I daresay it will take me a while to finish this. 😏
