Not much more Canadian than this.

We are looking down a snowy road on a clear, sunny day. Bare trees and shrubs are on both sides of the road, and, coming towards us, a man is riding a bicycle, wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt and shorts.

Closer to the end! Getting darker, so I am not stopping to set up my tripod. :)

Similar to the previous shot, but we are zoomed in closer to the city. The water and foreground trees are in darkness, the sky is much darker, still with the orange tint along the lower part of the image. The city lights are much brighter in contrast to the darker sky, more are turned on, and the CN Tower is now sporting blue lights to show it off.

One of the many reasons to hike the Spit: You either feel you are in the middle of nowhere or you have this amazing view of the city skyline. This would be on my hike back out when I'm racing to get back to the car before dark sets in but when I have to stop to take a few sunset photos. I usually end up getting out when it is full dark. I figure what masher hikes in the cold hoping that a lone woman walks by, plus I have my tripod in my hand. :)

A view across frozen water of the Toronto skyline, the CN Tower to the left. The sun has just set behind the buildings, with the lower part of the sky a warm orange, blending with the still visible blue of the sky above. The city lights have just responded to the change in light and have turned on. To the left of the tower, the closest visible land to us has bare trees full of empty cormorant nests also silhouetted against the sunset. Beyond, the Toronto islands are giving more trees looking to sit at the base of the skyline.
