Ever wonder what separates genuine faith from power-grab theology? This side-by-side chart spells it out: the true Christian lives love, service, humility and welcomes the outsider, while the Christian Nationalist hoards wealth, builds walls, claims divine entitlement and abandons the vulnerable. A reminder that faith at its core is about compassion, not control.

A two-column comparison chart titled “How to tell the difference between a Christian and a Christian Nationalist.”

From the street, it looks like a church. Step inside, and you’ll see the rot it’s hiding.

That’s Christian nationalism in a single picture.

Illustration of a pristine church front with stained glass and flowers, but inside it’s full of trash and filth. Text reads: “Christian nationalists are to Christianity what they claim transgender people are to gender: pretending to be what they’re not, and raging when called out.”

Christian nationalists, or as I call them Leviticus LARPers, thrive because we live in a country cushioned by comfort. Most Americans alive today have never faced true, sustained oppression; when these folks cry “persecution,” it lands on ears untrained to question it. They cherry‑pick ancient laws from Leviticus, 1 Timothy, and 1 Corinthians to police sexuality and gender, while ignoring scripture’s calls for humility, justice, and mercy. It is not faith: it is costume play, draped in the flag and the language of God, worn to rallies and pulpits, then hung up when love or sacrifice would be required.
