I’ve got my PC almost fully set up, going to have to invest into some fans for my case in the future but other than that it’s pretty smooth sailing.

I’ve got some goals to work on stuff, first of all the Minecraft UK City Mod is an ongoing project for our next major release of the mod.

Secondly I’ve been trying to build a full overhaul of my vex.blue, the current goal is to massively work on getting the site full of all the information that is currently only on the live site as well as what has been needing to release on it for so long.

I feel I need to update all the information on here more often, so hopefully will do mini updates more often.

I was thinking about all the problems I'm having using #Linux or more specifically #LinixMint and the #ardunio #ide.

It seems that the #attiny88 works best with the #atmel software which is only avaulable for Windoze.

I currently run two Asus laptops. A 14 inch that I use for video work and keep as a backup. That runs Linux Mint and the one i'm using now which might be on its last legs. It's 5 years old and somebody looked at the data from one of the syslogs they asked for and said the SSD looked like it was about to fail. I can't remember what data that was now.

So... It might be time to get myself a nice new laptop but this one will come with Windoze and if the Arduino stuff and ATTiny88 stuff works on it then it'll be a good purchase. Since Best Buy has one at $190 then it'll be worthwhile for just microcontroler coding.

I did look at Chromebooks but as usual they have no software that makes them at all useful. They make good Frisbees though.

Hmm.. The downloads on my Mint virtual machine are really slow. Generic speed test from a browser shows full network speeds. Just downloads are crawling. Not sure why. MTU and all that looks fine. Any one have any ideas?

#manjaro is my current choice

I used #LinixMint for years but got fed up with having to properly upgrade as dist-upgrade broke more than it fixed.... And LMDE was giving me a headache.

Manjaro has all the benifits of a rolling release distro but needs less tinkering to set up than vanilla Arch and you don't have to compile everything from scratch like Gentoo unless you actually want to
