Been playing with this #linktree template I stumbled across on github: https://github.com/johnggli/linktree (It might have been linked by someone here on Fedi? I don't remember.)
So far it's mostly just been me fucking around with the code to see if I could get it to do other things. It only took a little tweaking to be able to get it to serve either a light or dark version depending on if the browser/system is set to day/light or night/dark mode, and I have a tutorial about how to add a toggle that doesn't need javascript... and I'm trying to decide if I have the fucks to see if I can get that working on this too. If I decide to add it, I'll probably see if I can figure out how to offer a merge for the change, and if I decide I don't have fucks for that, I might still offer a merge for just the match the system dark/light mode function.
My homepage, https://deathkitten.net has links to everything I'd put on a linktree style page anyhow... so I was wondering, is there any real reason to want a separate page that's literally just links? I get why someone who doesn't have a homepage and domain might want a page like this (either an OG linktree, or something hosted on say github.io or whatever) to be able to collect all their links together in one place and link that from socials or whatever... but is there any reason why someone who has an actual homepage might have need for something like this?
