I am reading Heaven Official's Blessing 8, and I can't say that I understand all of what is going on, but it seems to be saying that...

People create systems of power as a form of exclusivity, and this leads others to want to position themselves within these power systems.
But in truth it is just someone's construct and you are just pieces playing their game.

i wanted to talk about everyone of my ships and blorbos and some headcanons so here i am, a thread.

let's talk about blorbo number one (not a order of preference but i take them as they come haha)

the fandom made me feel in love with him, i remember watching the show and discovering wang zhuo cheng and i think he gave him so much softness and depth.
the book made me realise how his responsibilities as a sect leader forced him into every single one of his choice. we can see how much he wants to fight against this but just can't. the fandom gave him so little credit on trying hard to do so..
for me he represents the unsolvable clash between his loyalty for wei wuxian and his duty as he has so little possibility to take his own decision. he is a (future) sect leader and has to bear the weight of it.

and on a less deep note i love a good old angry man. i will always love writing him. he is just so funny to write. a good escape to the seriousness of life. i love taking his reactions as entertainment but i also feel they are deeper than just that.

It includes confirmation of what many of us believed to be true that #MXTX was jailed for 3 years for publishing her danmei titles we love so much. Those of us who have found entertainment, relief, comfort, and joy in stories like #TGCF #SVSSS and #MDZS, who have tied our fandom lives to #Hualian and #BingQui and #Moshang and #wangxian must stand behind MXTX and every other danmei author. And we must insist that our supplier deal fairly and support these authors as well. Or else we WILL lose these wonderful stories.

The new Scum Villain chapter makes me wonder if this is how people felt when Silksong dropped. But like, if Hollow Knight fans never even had any hint Silksong was being made and it just appeared one day. And also at the toke a fan was putting on a strange meme-y dancing puppet stream of the characters. So maybe not very similar actually.
