I used to love the cheap cardboard box dvds I got of kung fu and and martial art style films. Street fighter with #SonnyChiba and fearless hyena (i think was the title with #JackieChan they may have been bootlegs but still remember them fondly.

#JustWatched Enter The Dragon in the #cinema for its 50th anniversary. Not all of it has aged well, but the action and cinematography are excellent. I haven’t seen many #MartialArtsFilms, but I can see why it was so influential.

The film is 90 min (see Dani's post above for a free YT link) but #TCM has 2-1/2 hrs blocked out for it, so I'm not sure what's up.

Just watched a wonderful sequence set in a field of reeds. It's a beautiful set and Chang Cheh manipulates the action he populates it with to intriguing effect.

I've just put on The Kid with the Golden Arm, my favourite Venoms film.
Heads for Sale uses the 'Principal Boy' technique, wherein our swordswoman protagonist 'disguises' herself as a young man in order to carry out her plans - cutting the heads off bad guys.
Anyhow, here is some info about Principal Boy characters in traditional panto, along with a photo of actress Vesta Tilley (who I don't think cut anyone's heads off but you never know.)
