I don't want to be too overly dramatic about this, but if you open a new box of tissues, like, for example, the ones they give to patients in the hospital, and it's impossible to pull the first tissue out of the box without a big wad of tissues coming out with it, that's not an accident and it's not poor design, it's theft. The manufacturer has designed their packaging to encourage this wastage so they can sell more tissues.
Not speaking theoretically. Looking at you, #Medline.

Yes Carl, this lack of reproducibility of searching semantic scholar is somewhat unfortunate indeed.

I suppose we will have to write something like in #SemanticScholar we searched for “<phrase we searched for>” and in the resulting page we filtered the search results with the following <insert whatever filters we put in>. Not sure I’d prefer that yet over our standard practice of using #Boolean operator based search algorithms we have set up or use in #Medline/#Ovid or even #GoogleScholar for that matter.

There seems to be another somewhat “roundabout” way to generate a standard set of results in SemanticScholar using their API, but I have not tried that and I suspect even if we did, we’d have to write a detailed script to be submitted with any “publication” we would, then there are reviewers with their own whims if they would accept that or consider it to be too obscure and reject the paper. Seems no easy way about it.

First articles with #ChatGPT as Co-Author. We might probably see this more often in the future...
#JabRef has no problems with this.
But maybe we should add an integrity check in JabRef for this specific author name and mark it as an #AI tool?

@sagitaninta @FerRacimo @PeerCommunityJournal Hi there! Peer Community Journal is a young journal, only one-year-old, and #Scopus only considers the application of journals after 2 years of existence. We will definitely apply to be indexed there! We already applied to be indexed in the main databases (#Webofscience, #Medline,...) We are already indexed in #googlescholar, CAB, and by the Journal Checker Tool of CoalitionS. Be patient! 😉
