Wander through the countryside in Portugal's Castelo de Vide and you’ll find the Megalithic Park of Coureleiros: a cluster of several Neolithic dolmens scattered across farmland, some nearly lost to time.

In my latest video, I explore what’s left of these ancient tombs …and what they still have to tell us!

This I'm grateful that yesterday when Portugal had a massive nation-wide powercut, I was out in the countryside admiring this gorgeous dolmen in the sunshine, surrounded by wildflowers. No electricity needed!

What do you call a megalithic tomb that isn't that anymore?
The Anta dos Pombais is a dolmen that was repurposed into a farm shelter, so it's now a prehistoric/modern hybrid. It is an excellent place to site and reflect on the passing of time and the modification of old places.

Today I made another pilgrimage to the historic Rollright Stones, it's always great to be there.

The Rollright Stones are a complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments, they are used for modern Pagan ritual and have folklore tales associated with them.

For here's a "visit" to a shattered Portuguese dolmen. The history of the Anta da Pedra dos Mouros may not be a happy one, but there is much to learn from its story!
