So I started playing Sonic Forces Mobile last night. Got into a Sonic mood and it's less of a cognitive load than Frontiers. Pretty fun little game. But, I see why I primarily use FOSS apps anymore. In the 18ish hours it's been installed on my phone, it's made at least 600 calls to third parties.

I say at least because I turned off DuckDuckGo's 3rd party tracking blocker for a while so ads could run. Oh yeah, the game is about 80% ads. I quasi watched more ads last night on my phone than I have in the previous year. Probably not as many since I uninstalled Mighty Doom.

Also, that's a third of all the ads blocked on my phone this week according to DDG. Further, if you have an Android and don't use a VPN, download the DDG browser and turn on 3rd party tracking protection. It might break some app [ad]s, but it's worth it.

So yeah, nice PvP runner game, but WAY too many ads and 3rd party cookies.

Hab gestern nach einigen Versuchen dann auch mal den finalen Level von #MightyDoom geknackt, und das, obwohl alle Waffen und Ausrüstungen "nur" episch und noch nicht "legendär" waren. Dem Hersteller hab ich Geld für ein Willkommenspaket gegönnt, ansonsten aber nur free-to-play durchgezogen.

Finally got the #MightyDOOM chain gun in epic version. Never have I ever had to move less than with this bad boy. Paired with gauss it’s a range killing setup 🤘🏻
