Just spent 3 hours trying to clean my bike’s drivetrain from a winter’s worth of Muc-Off Wet Lube. I will never use this stuff again. I tried various petrochemicals, synthetic stuff, WD-40, hot water, dishwasher soap, but nothing helped, only tedious scraping off the gunk molecule-by-molecule. The process normally takes maybe an hour, including removing the chain, cassette, derailleur and cleaning them.

Heute KEIN Plattfuß. Muss an der besseren Luftpumpe im Gepäck liegen ;)

Big hat tip to the man in the van with the Muc-Off livery that carefully followed me up the short steep hill before giving me plenty of room as he overtook...

... on the brow of the hill. With a low sun behind him. Which caused the driver of the motor vehicle coming the other way to have to gesticulate, in order to avoid a collision.

I wonder if they heard me laughing?

We exchanged cheery waves after he pulled over at the bottom of the hill. I think he might have been about to take a dog for a walk or something.

Heute Wetter für eine Komplettreinigung und Imprägnierung des Fahrrades genutzt.

Ich habe zwar die Bio-Reiniger und Kettenöl von #mucoff in Verwendung, aber wenn ich die Plane nicht verwende verfärbt sich das Gras oder es kommt zu kahlen Stellen.

Scheint übrigens wirklich gut zu sein. Nach knapp 100 km noch kein Schmutz angesetzt und es kurbelt immer noch angenehm leicht und leise. Das könnte mit dem Muc-Off Hydro Dynamic wirklich was werden. 👍

Kettenöl der Wahl, für die #SchwarzwaldTour23! Das Trocken-Öl ist leider nichts, das wäscht sich bei leichtester Feuchtigkeit sofort raus. Das Wet-Lube ist ein Schmutzmagnet, also auch nix. Aber man (Marketing?) sagt das Hydro Dynamic habe magische Kräfte. 🤔😉

I'm about to buy some more #Tubeless sealant. After trying #MucOff, Stan's and Orange Seal I'm going back to Muc-Off. Not because it works better than the others (It doesn't) but because I can't stand the smell of the others. Muc-Off adds fragrance to all their products making them less unpleasant. What's your take?
