🧠 New paper by Tafazoli et al. (2026): The authors show that the brain reuses the same lowdim across tasks. features & are encoded in shared population , & task switching occurs by flexibly engaging & transforming activity between these representations. Monkeys adapt by updating internal task beliefs & routing activity through the appropriate shared subspaces.
