I can't remember who mentioned only being able to get #360p on #NewPipe, but I'm watching at 1080p on #PipePipe (a newpipe clone) now, so hopefully it's fixed on the latest PipePipe as well.
Make sure you're using PipePipe's own f-droid repo, or the #IzzyOnDroid one. I'm a big fan of using #FDroid's builds, but you gotta "chase the gun" (gaming/#RetroComputing reference, not a violent one) on stuff like this.

Seitdem YT massiv gegen die Invidious-Instanzen vorgeht, nutze ich praktisch nur noch FreeTube bzw. auf dem Phone halt #NewPipe.
Manchmal musste ich mehrere Invi-Instanzen ausprobieren, bevor ein Video abgespielt werden konnte.

#newpipe is only getting 360p videos for me these days as of a few days ago. Any other users noticed this? Is this just API fuckery on Google's part?
Now that I am on a #degoogled phone. #youtube is something that I use a lot for my entertainment, both mobile and desktop. #newpipe is a good app and is *a* solution, but the trouble is that it doesn't synchronise my watched history back when I go to my desktop. So I end up accumulating recommended videos that I've already watched on mobile. #revanced is my solution as I like the extra tweaks that it has. If anybody has a #foss app suggestion that still retains synchronisation I am all ears.

The fact this is even possible -- and with so little effort -- is just brilliant. But I have a nagging feeling it's hiding a much deeper problem (mumble mumble.. versioning... mumble mumble... NixOS).
Hier gibt es seine Rede einmal auf #Youtube. Ich bin wirklich begeistert davon wie klar und deutlich er diese Querdullies zerlegt. Mit 16 hätte ich das ganz bestimmt nicht so hin bekommen. Alleine der Mut sich vor eine Gruppe von Erwachsenen die einen hassen oder verachten zu stellen und dann denen die Meinung zu sagen.
Ihr seid eine lautstarke Minderheit mit zu viel Telegram, zu wenig Geschichtsverständnis und keine Ahnung was echte Unterdrückung bedeutet.
(Wenn ihr Youtube nicht direkt aufrufen wollt, kopiert den Link und öffnet ihn beispielsweise mit #Newpipe)

There are a lot of apps like Uber, DiDi, YT, that are significant barriers to disabled and frail aged folk partucipating in the community.
