Late 80's early 90's Fridays used to be:

Meet up with mates in town at opening time - 7pm.
Chuck a quick couple down before getting the bus into Nottingham.
Try not to wet yourself before arrival.
Run to the nearest pub - usually the Peacock, sometimes Old Boots.
A quick pub crawl around Trinity Sq.
Finish off at Rock City.

Happy times.

BiCon 2025 will be in Nottingham, non-residential, Fri 25 to Sun 27 July 2025 - same weekend as Notts Pride which is on the Saturday.

BiCon venue will be the Girls' High School, not far from the Arboretum or the Forest. I don't expect it'll be full-on covid-careful but I'm sure there'll be numerous people wearing masks. I'll probably go to at least part of it.

BiCon is open to bi-friendly non-bi people too!

Huge three points for #WxmAFC on an afternoon when Notts had 75 per cent possession. Masterclass in defending against a very good #Notts side. O'Connell my man of match but all back five excellent, incl late sub Mendy.

This is nice; a laminate of some sort coming off the doors to reveal the hand-painted sign beneath.

The sign was visible in this form for a few years, until it was painted over in the recent redecoration/refurbishment of the building at 36 Park Road, Nottingham—work that likely *wasn't* carried by H. Wiltshire & Sons Ltd. Apart from the date of establishment (1905) given on the sign, I've not found out anything more about the firm itself.

Reminder to Nottingham folks that I'm down to play at the Green Fest tomorrow! 2pm on the main stage at the bandstand.

Nearest tram stop is "High School". From there, it's about 150 yards to the gate at the corner of the Arboretum, & another 150 yards to the bandstand area. "High School" is 5 stops from Nottingham Station, about a 10-minute ride.

Expect lots of tasty veggie/vegan food at the festival, & don't forget water bottle, suncream & umbrella :-)
