@brunopostle I think the conversion tool could be improved and packaged, and I am motivated to contribute to this nonetheless, if only to learn more of #IFC and #gbXML . It should be relevant, according to the thesis by MGVisschers. Maybe he has a good overview on the need for such a tool today, if he could be reached. Anybody activly working with #energymodeling should know. My guess is that proprietary #BIM tools has #gbXML export. Info could be inquired at #osarch .

PSA that the #OSArch (OSArch.org - community.OSArch.org) community forums has been under a DDoS attack for just over a day now. Anybody experienced with who can help provide some advice for a FOSS volunteer hosted site on the best way forward to stop this and in the future please send me a DM :) #opensource #openbim

It's called a bottleneck for a reason! Congestion analysis in #topologicpy. This visualization shows you the paths most travelled. The sources are half the perimeter and the destination is the other half. This is a really good way to place corridors and footpaths. @osarch #osarch

I’d have liked such a course when i started out with my #wildlife & #FoodForest #GardenDesign, hopefully folk will find it useful. Only an hour long, I try to cover only the 10% of CAD that you need for designing gardens.

Today’s progress: In 3D models, it is not always guaranteed that faces are oriented in a consistent manner. When it comes time to place elements or grids (especially if they are not symmetric), the results can be unsatisfactory (left). #topologicpy can now harmonise all faces (right). #osarch
