...should be remembered in order that we can learn from the mistakes of the past. 👉The #Guardsmen in their signed statement at the end of the civil trials recognized that better ways have to be found to deal with these types of confrontations.👈 This has probably already occurred in numerous situations...

May 8, 1970, construction workers in NYC attacked antiwar protesters and journalists, beating them savagely with tools and pipes. 70 were injured.

This was 4 days after the #OhioNationalGuard shot 13 students & bystanders, killing 4, at #KentStateUniversity

The “#HardHatRiot” was instigated by #ChuckColson, President #RichardNixon’s dirty tricks manager (aka “ratfucker”) , who called his contacts at the #NYConstructionWorkersCouncil led by #PeterJBrennan.
