Some personal update: Last year was a rollercoaster to me with a lot of ups and downs. I've switched jobs but unfortunately my new employer had become insolvent. Shortly after I decided to take some month off from work and to switch back to #Greenbone afterwards the employer even become bankrupt. So here we are, I am back at #Greenbone working on #OpenVAS directly again 🙂

Which helps me how it works on Windows, Linux, and MacOS? Especially how an authenticated scan works?

I've been very quiet the last months. Especially on the #OpenVAS front. The reason is I had a tough time and finally decided to leave #Greenbone with the end of June. That means I wont do any community work anymore.

@schenklklopfer Hi, ich bin nicht sicher was du meinst aber soweit ich das sehen kann sind die CVSS scores in den Daten vom NIST direkt drin. Bei allen APIs. Wir (#openvas) holen uns die Daten auf jeden Fall vom NIST und stellen die als XML bereit. Die Daten finden sich z.b. in dem Container hier https://hub.docker.com/r/greenbone/scap-data
Kann eins irgendwo im Internet eine täglich aktuelle Liste aller #CVE mit deren #CVSS Werten bekommen?
Das #NVD bietet eine Liste aller CVEs an, aber die enthält keine CVS Scores.
Ich brauche beides.
Dann gibt es so Systeme wie #OpenVAS oder #OpenCVE, die diese Daten aggregieren, aber die haben keine APIs um an die Daten ranzukommen (oder ich bin zu blöd die zu finden)
Jemensch eine Idee?
Edit: Werde OpenCVE wohl selber hosten und davon dann die API angraben.
The Greenbone Community Containers include some rather big images: greenbone/scap-data, greenbone/vulnerability-tests and greenbone/notus-data. With the changes on the NIST side for the scap data, this specific container even will triple its size to more then 3 GiB. Therefore I am currently working on shrinking the size of all these three container images #greenbone #openvas

Messed around a little with #netbox, #checkmk, and #openvas tonight. Lost the motivation to continue for now. One day I'm sure I'll have all sorts of nice automation for my home network with fancy monitoring and #devoops shit but not for now.
