@jpmens Hmmm......would you elaborate a little? I see the issue you have, but where did you get/find this certificate?
#Webauthn and to some extend also #TOTP are really easy and quick to use with the #Nitrokey on my PC. It's amazing how smoothly this works.
Then regarding #Android, this thing is still a brick. They simply do not work together AT ALL. Real bummer and not at all as advertised. So I still need a #2FA app on my phone and have to enable two #MFA authorization schemes for every account. This is really not what I had in mind, when I bought this.
So either I completely misunderstood how the #Nitrokey 3 NFC chip should have worked with #Android (at least supports fido2 and apparently PGP), or the #Fairphone 4 does not play nicey with this... Real bummer, because this is basically a brick for me 50% of the time now
Happy 10th Birthday, @nitrokey
A huge thank you for a decade of outstanding work in security and privacy— in the FLOSS spirit!
Here’s to 10 more years of innovation, advocacy, and keeping our data safe from prying eyes!

Nitrokey 3: Firmware v1.8.3 released
Tja nun liegt hier der erste #nitrokey, nur damit mein paranoider IT-Monk in meinem Kopf direkt sagt „du brauchst noch mindestens einen weiteren als Backup bevor du das nutzt“…
Yay!
My new @nitrokey 3 Mini did arrive 😊
Open source crypto-module done right. It’s already my 3rd one (I have already the big Nitrokey 3A and a Nitrokey HSM for my PKI)
The mini will be my backup key with its own GPG subkeys just to have redundancy plus I’ll add it as a second Passkey to several websites.
@ahasty @ati1 @linmob You should be able to use #Thunderbird for #PGP encrypted email (with mobile-config-thunderbird), or webmail instance that supports it like #SnappyMail or any other webmail using #Mailvelope extension in Firefox.
Not sure about #YubiKey, #NitroKey or alternatives as I've never used any, but they should connect to the Librem's USB-C port. The #Librem5 has a slot for a PGP smart card ( #LibremKey ?) to store private keys so you could also use that. Hopefully, someone who's used that can see your question and answer, or you can ask in Purism forums or pmOS Matrix room.
For anyone who’s used a @nitrokey (I’m looking at the Nitrokey 3 currently), is it possible to change the PGP Key pair with one that I already have? It sounds like you can based on what I’ve read but just want to confirm.
Hervorragender Beitrag von @0xKaishakunin. Mit Passkeys geht es dabei um ein Thema, welches für wirklich alle Internetnutzer interessant sein sollte.

I donate money to an open-source project every quarter. I always choose one, that was helpful for me or that had a great new release.
For Q3/2025 this was now @nitrokey because I absolutely *love* their products. Open source powered hardware crypto keys with FIDO, GPG and PIV.
All powered by an Open Source firmware, written in Rust. This is true digital sovereignty!
I use it for everything. LUKS, SSH, Mail signing, Git signing, VPN authentication, WebAuthN and more.
Amazing product from a company with an amazing spirit! This should absolutly be supported.
HSI:4 (Host Security ID Level 4) achieved!

Just found this thing here #Nitrokey #NitroPhone kinda would be interested what the @GrapheneOS people think about all of the security claims.
On that note it also would be interesting to have a list with all of the phones that were once considered and then disregarded for one reason or another from them too...
(The hardware is a Google Pixel 9a with the option to have some sensors physically removed and custom software)
