#11 Quine. Why ?

Did I read and learn about Quines. Yes. But I didn't want to spend the time to develop my own and copy an example isn't my way of art.
So, after the prompt to write the word Genuary I wanted to refresh my knowledge about bezier/curves. Sorry for breaking the rules but maybe one should do that in its limits as an artist.

The result is a fast scrippled random line.

A scribbled line like with a pen on a paper with parallel random transparent lines. Although it is random you can image it's a fly, a dragon or another flying insect. But all in all it's art.

#genuary #genuary2026 Day 12: "Boxes only"

A day early, but it's sunday and I did the quine a few days ago. A fairly obvious idea that took me way too long because making the sides hinged is awkward when you have to draw planes at their centre, it's all trig; plus I initially chose the wrong kind of spiral to scale the boxes (the corners should trace a logarithmic spiral). Made with #p5js.

Rendering this as a gif made the writing illegible, I actually drew the cardboard with randomly varying lightness of lines to give it a texture which doesn't show up in the limited palette; what it says is "FRAGILE. APPROX WEIGHT ∞ KG" (and yes, I know that the sum should be finite)

#10 Polar coordinates.

Experimenting with noise and polar coordinates, I picked circles out of the noise spectrum and used them for the radius variation. Then adding mulptiple circles getting more noisy to the outside.
Looks like an icon for a tree cut in halves.

Perlin noise is my favorite ingredient for organic creations.
