A small units-related #peeve prob not resonating with many others, but if someone says their product has a 3000 mAh battery, I see that as:
"We've got a 3 ✖️ 1000 ➗ 1000 AmpHour battery!"
Yeah, I know Dave in marketing says big numbers look more impressive, but just say it's just a 3Ah battery.
Power bank specs are worse to a factor of ten, often quoting 20,000 mAh capacity! I'm surprised they aren't trying to do 20kmAh which would be a crime against units.

Maybe this marks me out as a #curmudgeon , but if you post a link to an obvious "listicle" without adding anything of substance of your own, not only will I not visit the #listicle, I may mute you entirely.
It's not personal. I just hate, with the heat of a thousand dying suns, the information sphere's equivalent of empty calories. We used to make fun of information-lite news like USA Today, but that stuff from decades ago would compare favourably to a lot of big-city newspapers' websites these days.

#Peeve: contrarian #units. Why say your phone has a "six thousand milliamp" battery, when you could just "six amp"? Two syllables versus six. Written, "6000 mA" vs "6 A" is the same deal, six characters versus two.
I'm also one who would also prefer saying that the Moon is 384 megameters from Earth, not 384,000 kilometers. #SI
Pet peeve: national-level mainstream media outlets that absolutely cannot differentiate correctly between a budget deficit and national debt.

I know a lot of the web is crap, but it really bothers me how lame many sites are explaining meanings of #Sanskrit words/names.
E.g., so many sites that say "dhanushka" is about wealth, when in fact it is about bow (archery). 🤦♂️

Ack, "the La"? I'd think most anyone would know "la" means "the" and shouldn't be duplicated. It's worse than some rich boor saying “Who cares what the hoi polloi think?” since fewer people know "hoi" is "the" in the Greek phrase "the (common) people" or "the masses". #peeve
Made tacos tonight, from a hard shell kit. There's usually a piece of waxed cardboard folded in with the shells to make them a bit less crushable. Now it's apparently a piece of plastic. Cardboard was good enough for years, El Paso. Why make the world a bit worse? #peeve

Goddamit. I thought that for once, or maaaybe twice, in the 19 years I've been running Linux, that this one time an upgrade from one version to the next had gone fine. Things looked good. Then now there's very obvious graphical glitches in Gnome Settings and Nautilus. Ugh. Guess I'll have to do a clean install yet again. This must be my biggest annoyance with Linux right now, I think.

Someone just referred to Cybersecurity Awareness Month as “Cyber Month” and I’m (once again) shaking my head. Cyber by itself has nothing to do with security, crypto by itself has nothing to do with currency, &c. Prefixes are essentially adjectives.
