today, I heard of pinned posts. Apparently, they work in the Fediverse as they do on Dreamwidth, keeping a post at the top of you profile. Do these exist on Friendica? If so, how are they enabled, and can you pin more than one post? Can this be done via TweeseCake?

This pinned posts organizer for Mastodon is one of the tools I've made that I don't use very often, but when I do, it really comes in handy.

How could I show the content of a topic I've pinned at the top of a category? I'm using the Harmony theme on my NodeBB forum, and I see that when I open a category pinned topics appear at the top, but I need to click on them to view the content. I'm a professor and I'm trying to set up a discussion for my students in such a way that when they open a category they first see my discussion prompt with some guiding comments and questions for the discussion.
Kudos to the NodeBB team for creating such amazing APIs, by the way. It has freed me from relying on my crummy LMS.

Something else I think is necessary on #Bluesky is to have #PinnedPosts. I need to pin the screenshot of my personal prologue, as I have it here. Otherwise, it simply won't be displayed first, easily accessible as a starting point, as a, well, prologue, introduction. It's very basic. The same for priority links from personal websites and suchlike.

Am wondering whether to use the #AutoDelete older posts feature here and if I do what time period to choose... hoping to become less of a #DigitalPackrat (an apt description I just read). For those already doing this, what are the #FediTips pros/cons you've found?
I like the way it will emphasize less attachment to historical boosts/faves #EmbraceEphemera. Can always screenshot anything evergreen.
I also figure that #server admins are likely to appreciate the removal of old stuff so that their backups are more manageable.
Presumably scheduling reposts of my #Introduction and other informative #PinnedPosts before they auto-delete could be handy.
@angelinequick more accounts will be willing to Follow You if you add an #Introduction and have it as one of your #PinnedPosts. Lots of new people here. Some I follow as I know them from real world or bird site. Others for common interests. One of the reasons for including interest hashtags in your Intro.

If you have a post on Mastodon that you want people to see when they browse your profile, you can pin it to the top.
Find the post you want, click on "..." below it and select "Pin on profile". You can unpin by the same method.
This is particularly useful for introductory posts, or other information you think people should know.
Unlike Twitter, you can pin many posts at once on Mastodon.
