@marcrr

It's good to see attention paid to the need to develop ecosystem-compatible #RenewableEnergy systems (generation, storage & transmission/distribution).

And this information needs wide dissemination so people understand we can and must do this.

In the US, #TheNatureConsevancy has done related work with its #PowerOfPlace work: nature.org/en-us/newsroom/powe and nature.org/en-us/what-we-do/ou

@ClimateNewsNow

(Fully aware of #DevilInDetails, I still say:)

This is exactly the sort of approach we need to take to expedite large #ClimateAction projects

I wish I saw more attention to The #NatureConservancy's #PowerOfPlace approach to siting renewable power projects - a very similar strategy to identify and address key issues impacting locations for new infrastructure.

> .. the movement became synonymous with a place— Standing Rock— it could be said that its political energy was generated in large part by the landscape itself. In the words of a group of activists, “Standing Rock emerged as a ‘prayer camp’ because the grounds in question are sacred, a site of ceremony and ancestral knowledge.”

We ❤️ the concept of the #PowerOfPlace—the ability of place-based research to expand your #FamilyHistory horizons and enrich your understanding of your ancestors' lives.

On #OnePlaceWednesday here's a workshop on using #MyHeritage to tell the stories of buildings and places 🏡⛪️🏭🕍🏘️ which may be helpful to #genealogy and #OnePlaceStudy researchers.
