I love retro gaming handhelds but have never actually touched one. I almost got an #RG353M but decided on a #New3DS instead. I’m currently interested in the #RG353PS, #RetroidPocket 3+, and Logitech #GCloud.

Wasn't difficult to get my lil #linux handheld,an #rg353m to play #midi files, the question is, how do I do it without needing to SSH into it... #timidity doesn't have ncurses compiled into it, so I'm a little stumped there when it comes to a usable frontend/gui.

I'm really looking forward two two sets of game handheld buttons I have on the way.

Posted my initial #Anbernic #RG353M Review. Some minor flaws but all in all, I like it a LOT.

#Anbernic #RG353M works great as a console hooked up to the TV through HDMI. Only 720P 😓 but works nicely. I tried it out with an Xbox Series controller so far with no noticeable input delays. Kinda mind boggling that the 505 doesn't have this feature.

Stock Linux firmware (Batocera) on the #RG353M is serviceable and probably ok for more casual handheld people. To get more out of this handheld, you'll definitely want to move on to JELOS, ArkOS or The Retro Arena in the future though. There's no WiFi/Bluetooth issues so far... One day in, I like this handheld a LOT! Hall sensor thumb-sticks are a big upgrade over previous M devices from Anbernic. The 353M is light enough for TATE mode gaming too.

Hopefully I'll get my #RG353M Review out at some point. Due whatever reason, mine has been sitting at a sorting center in Illinois for a long while now. I think it will be in the running for my game #handheld of the year alongside the Miyoo Mini V2/V3 and Steam Deck.
