My weekend project - labeling and upgrading all the #RG59 cables and wall plates in our 65 year old house. Ran a brand new, shorter, and more direct cable to our #CableModem and the signal is vastly improved as you can see in the second picture. A standard U.S. wall plate with a cable TV connector in the center. The plate has a printed label sticker on it that says “CAB-6”Two tables of DOCSIS cable modem channel statistics, labeled BEFORE and AFTER. The before table has power and signal-to-noise numbers that are all over. The corrected and uncorrected error columns also widely vary and show MILLIONS of errors, no channel is spared. The after table shows much more consistent signal levels and ZERO errors in every channel save one.
