In the good old days, you would target a company, ring them up, and try to find out who the manager or director was responsible for the product or service you were selling. You would either
a. Try to get put through to them.
b. Write to them.
You would work at the sale. These days it's "Ooh! He's head of..... Hello there, would you like to buy my shit?"
LinkedIN was about offering or seeking employment, but users have turned it into a shark-infested pool of so-called salespeople.
