To get the same feature set for all those input types, you'd have to spend $325 on a Retrotink 5X. It would cost you $200 to $300 for an OSSC setup that would also accept composite and S-Video signals. So, for $65 the GBSC Pro is really the consumer grade choice for casual retro gamers.
The picture quality is as good as the original Retrotink 2X, or maybe even a bit better for composite inputs (tested via a stock NES).

I've had an original model #Retrotink 2X (serial #8, I was an early supporter) for a few years now, allowing me to play retro consoles on modern TVs. It outputs a 480p signal over HDMI and some modern TVs (like the one we have now) will only accept 720p or higher.
There's a new product from China called the #GBSCPro (not to be confused with earlier GBS Control). It outputs 720p, 960p, 1024p, and 1080p. It does pixel doubling for 240p, 2 types of interlacing for 480i, also handles 480p. 1/n
Honestly, a RetroTINK-4K on an LG G3 OLED is just gorgeous!
New PSU arrived from Poland today and with composite replacing RF. S-video would be better than composite, but I don't have a S-video capable display anymore.

I'm fairly sure I'm the first person to ever test a Videoton TVC with a RetroTink 4K... Well, it works. Not so much of a surprise, as it worked quite well with the RT5XPro already. But anyway, here we go.
It would be nice if someone #ReverseEngineered the #RetroTINK devices, their firmware, and their firmware-flashing utility to have a #FOSS implementation. This is particularly important for the firmware and the flash utility, as last I knew it's Windows-only.
This is pretty cool. It's a how to video on how to connect you RF only console (mostly 1st and 2nd generation) to a #Retrotink.
