Today was the SAC "mountain air try out day". The family mountaneering group and the youth organization of SAC Winterthur organized a beginner outdoor climbing. My eldest daughter, two SAC guides, a senior climbers and I assisted the kids and their parents at their first (outdoor) climbing steps. The participants learnt the very basics and enjoyed a day with a lot of top rope climbing and abseiling. For lunch we prepared a fire so the kids roasted sausages and bread.

In the afternoon we had 5 tired kids (between 6 and 12 year old) and 4 interested parents who might not have climbed outdoor for the last time. As a further result some good advertising for our family mountaineering, of course. 😎
