Oops. Vardeman got this detail wrong I’m fairly certain; he described Uhura as Bantu. She was born in Kenya. Okay, a large population of people in Kenya are Bantu but I can’t recall that detail ever mentioned in #tos. On top of that I’m pretty sure Swahili is her native language.
If I am not correct, can someone tell me where what episode(s) this is brought up? I checked Memory Alpha and the only mention of Uhura being Bantu comes up in #tmp and #stiv novelizations.
