Question for my petrol buddies:
A gal stopped by the pump next to me at a gas station in a 2019 turbo #Audi (It was sedan, not certain on the exact model). Audi says to use Premium* fuel, but this location doesn't have it, just non-ethanol 90.
She asked me my opinion on using the NE90. I said I wouldn't recommend it. I won't run it in my #RX8, and if I were her, I personally wouldn't risk my motor without looking into it first.
An attendant gave her #STP octane boost, saying if she put the non-ethanol 90 in and added that, it would be fine. I still said I'd look it up before making a chem lab in her gas tank.
She's long since left, but I'm curious what you guys think about the attendant's suggestion: using STP octane booster with non-ethanol 90 fuel to bring it to Audi's spec of Premium octane 91-93.
*Octane Rating: Premium fuel has a higher octane rating (91–94) compared to regular (usually 87) and midgrade (usually 89–90) gasoline.
