Zakazy to ślepa uliczka. Ekspert Save the Children: „Młodzi chcą bezpiecznego internetu, a nie jego braku”
Przed chwilą pisaliśmy o nowych narzędziach w YouTube, które pozwalają rodzicom blokować treści. Jednak dr Jeffrey DeMarco z organizacji Save the Children ostrzega: techniczne blokady to za mało.
Z najnowszego raportu „The Future Report”, opartego na opiniach 7000 nastolatków, płynie jasny wniosek: młodzi ludzie nie są naiwni. Chcą jasnych zasad i nauki korzystania z AI, a nie cyfrowej prohibicji.
W debacie publicznej dominuje narracja strachu: „zakażmy smartfonów w szkołach”, „odetnijmy social media”. Tymczasem głos samych zainteresowanych jest rzadko słyszany. Raport przygotowany dla Google pokazuje, że nastolatki traktują technologię jako narzędzie, którego chcą się nauczyć obsługiwać bezpiecznie.
AI w szkole? Uczniowie już tam są
Najciekawsze dane dotyczą sztucznej inteligencji. Podczas gdy szkoły wciąż debatują, czy pozwolić na używanie ChatGPT czy Gemini, uczniowie już dawno podjęli decyzję.
- 50 proc. nastolatków korzystających z AI twierdzi, że dzięki niej łatwiej angażują się w naukę.
- 47 proc. uważa, że AI pomaga zrozumieć trudne zagadnienia.
Jednocześnie aż 28 proc. badanych wskazuje, że ich szkoły w ogóle nie używają tych narzędzi, a 13 proc. nie wie, czy są one dozwolone.
Mamy więc rozdźwięk między rzeczywistością cyfrową młodych, a analogowym systemem edukacji. Młodzież nie pyta „czy” korzystać, ale „jak” robić to mądrze – jak pisać prompty i weryfikować źródła.
Algorytm jako cyfrowa klasa
Dr DeMarco punktuje też podejście do mediów społecznościowych. Dla dorosłych to często „śmietnik”, dla 84 proc. młodych to główne źródło wiedzy (filmy instruktażowe, edukacyjne). Nastolatki dostrzegają zagrożenia – boją się dezinformacji i wpadania w „królicze nory” algorytmów. Czego oczekują? Nie odcięcia kabla, ale domyślnego bezpieczeństwa.
Chcą prostszych ustawień prywatności, jasnego oznaczania treści generowanych przez AI i systemów, które same ostrzegą ich przed zagrożeniem. I nie chodzi tylko o złośliwy kod, phishing czy scam, ale też manipulacje, czy dezinformację.

Wniosek: edukacja zamiast strachu
Główna teza felietonu doktora DeMarco jest prosta: bezpieczeństwo w sieci to nie funkcja, którą można włączyć jednym przyciskiem w ustawieniach. To proces. Zamiast zabierać telefony, powinniśmy uczyć krytycznego myślenia i kompetencji cyfrowych. Bo – jak zauważa ekspert – nastolatki to nie tylko użytkownicy, to przyszli architekci internetu. Lepiej, żeby potrafili go dobrze zbudować.

Il 23 Gennaio 2026 il progetto "Brigate Climatiche" propone un pomeriggio gratuito di formazione sul tema "i diritti dei minori nelle emergenze" con un focus speciale sulla emergenza climatica.
Negli ultimi anni il numero di emergenze globali legate a pericoli naturali è aumentato, colpendo milioni di persone, soprattutto bambini, bambine e adolescenti, che sono tra i più vulnerabili.
Nella regione Emilia Romagna abbiamo potuto vivere in prima persona queste situazioni durante le alluvioni del 2023 e 2024 e la scorsa estate 2025 durante le devastanti ondate di calore nelle aree metropolitane. Spesso durante le emergenze, bambini, bambine e adolescenti perdono il senso della routine, come la possibilità di frequentare la scuola o di avere spazi sicuri e familiari per giocare e socializzare con i loro coetanei. Inoltre, gli effetti psicologici che un’emergenza ha sui genitori o sugli insegnanti possono amplificare l’impatto del trauma sui minori. Questo accade perché i bambini, le bambine e gli adolescenti si affidano agli adulti per interpretare e affrontare la realtà che li circonda. Per questo motivo, educare i minori su come prepararsi e affrontare tali eventi è fondamentale per ridurre la loro vulnerabilità e aumentare la loro resilienza.
Per questo vogliamo offrire un momento di apprendimento, scambio di esperienze e pratiche a tutte le persone, i gruppi, le associazioni e i collettivi che praticano il mutuo appoggio nelle emergenze.

@alderik Yes! And I would add the argument that the whole point of EU #competition regulation plus the #DMA is to break the "chokepoint" or "single point of enforcement" that app stores are at the moment.
And orgs like the Digital #Childhood Alliance are also technically wrong: focus on app stores to protect children is *not* an obvious one. As young people grow they learn to source their apps from all kinds of places, and they should.
We urgently need help today to survive until tomorrow.
