All my life I've been an urbanite, living mostly in cities not prone to natural disasters... I am afraid to say I know nothing much about living without electricity, being too reliant on mod cons. Pele/Kilauea has begun erupting again, in her home, Halemaumau Crater. Halemaumau is the safest place for an active eruption for all of us and as long as that's where she stays, no one needs a bugout bag for an eruption. I still like to share this every so often bc I don't think some of you think about needing to flee, when in fact, you never really know when you may become an evacuee or refugee of some sort. Stay vigilant and know that wise preparation is not just a means of survival, with preparation, you can thrive.

I am back baby! I started doing #dehydrated #MRE's back in 2014 for #Mountaineering . After a long break, I made a new pack for my emergency #bugout bag. 5 day worth of meal with fruits, desert and drinks for 2666 Gr. A reduction of ~2900Gr in total! All labeled and ready to be packed and hopefully only will be eaten in good times.🏕️
