Happy #Doorsday everyone! 🚪
Here is #Germany's most famous #door (the website even claims it may be the most famous door in the world, ha!): The "Theses #Doors" of the All Saints' #Church in #Wittenberg. It is said that Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on this door. These theses launched the #Protestant #Reformation in 1517, resulting in the birth of #Protestantism.

Of course this is not the original door from back then. It burned down in 1760 in the Seven Years' War, together with most of the church, and was replaced. These #bronze doors were installed on Luther's 375th birthday in 1858, with his theses inscribed in Latin. Today, the doors are only used for special occasions. And for photos of course. Lots and lots of photos ... 😋

The image shows the "Theses Doors", the entrance to the Church of All Saints in Wittenberg, Germany. The entrance is framed by a large, arched stone doorway. Above the door, there's a mosaic depicting the crucifixion of Jesus, flanked by two figures. The door itself is made of dark bronze and features intricate carvings and inscriptions, commemorating Martin Luther's 95 theses. The stone surrounding the doorway shows signs of weathering, adding to the historical feel of the scene.
