Tatsuike Benzaiten is a legendary pond left by Senba Hie Shrine for the Dragon God. 🐲
Legend has it that the "bottomless pit" of Senba Hie Shrine is connected to the twin ponds.
From this location, which is on a cliff on the eastern edge of the Musashino Plateau, spring water gushes out and forms the pond, which flows into the Shingashi River to the east🌊.

Apparently then I forgot to take photos except for this huge #shellMound from the #neolithic section. If you look closely you can see earlier hearths in the stratigraphy of the mound
