Some accounts were taken down because of strong transphobia propaganda or they posted a sh*t ton of images with clearly childrens on them in inappropiate poses. Not a real photographs, but still clearly children withour cloths. :( #slippy #moderation
All our previous buns were scared of the "#slippy floor"; my office and the living room are carpeted, and then it's one step up into the kitchen/hallway with linoleum floor, and that was enough to keep them in these two rooms.
Then we got Lena. After the second time I found her #upstairs under a bed, I had to put a baby gate between the living room and kitchen.
And then a little while later I had to hack a great ugly latch onto it because she figured out how to open it.
Fixed the #onionservices address in nginx and in the instance description. Now it will show the fancy notification about the available address in tor browser again.

Until I started watching #F1, I had no idea British people also say #slippy. I’d assumed it was exclusively a #Pittsburgh word. #spanishgp
The Search feature will be a bit off for a while, enabled #meilisearch as the support landed with #misskey 13.12.x but as a result search results coming from there and old notes are not indexed. I don't think it's possible to force re-indexing on old notes.

With #misskey 13.11.0, there were some changes handling Redis, because of this, after I updated #slippy, all notifications are gone, it's in the release notes: https://misskey-hub.net/docs/releases.html#_13-11-0

Look out for phishing attacks
In the last 3 days I got a few DMARC protection reports. Without any technical details, that means people try to fake slippy.xyz email addresses from a non-authorized address/server.
I'll never ask you to click on a link, or any information through email. I'll use internal DM for that. If required I'll use my personal and trusted email address: efertone@pm.me (or efertone@slippy.xyz), but that will be only a follow-up action from DMs (most likely).
For all fairness and transparency, nothing uses slippy.xyz email addresses and all incoming email lands in my @protonmail@mastodon.social inbox with a catch-all address. Only two addresses are configured as a sender identity: efertone@slippy.xyz and admin@slippy.xyz.

It's not a bad one, if you want to know more about DMARC without deep technical requirements, this one seems a good candidate.

With v13, the default storage capacity is 500mb. That's very low, but I'll leave it as it is for now. Everyone who has at least 150 followers and their account is older than 10 days will get 1.5G with an automatically assigned role. If 1.5G is not enough let me know :shibalaugh:
I love the new dynamic role system in #misskey, it's really awesome. I hope some new extras will land there as condition later on 😃

As #Misskey v13 is out, I plan and upgrade and the maintenance window, I'll announce it as an Announcement, but I wanted a quick note about it: I know there is an update, I know it's a lot of new shiny things, but it's a major version upgrade and I may face some issues, so I plan a proper maintenance window. #slippy
I don’t think I went over 15 mph on my ride to work today. And no higher than mph on the little side roads which I have to negotiate before getting to an actual main road … where I could see actual tarmac.

I have a nice #kubernetes cluster, I'm happy about it... mostly. I have a managed one at #DigitalOcean. When they are updating the cluster, it just collapse and everything stops working. It's not the problem of DigitalOcean. After rotating out instances manually [they were rotated out once for the upgrade so manually I have to do it again] and wait random time, like 20-30 minutes after all services reported as running by #k8s but still not available really. And after the random wait time, it's happy again. Why? I have no idea. With normal servers like what's under #Slippy, it's much easier. I have control over everything. Every-f*-thing.
