To use #Carplay in my #Subaru #Solterra, I would have to enable #Siri. I’m not wild about #Apple listening in 24/7 so I choose not to use Siri and Carplay.

I'm trying to get my second #EV, with more range. I go to Subaru and try to talk about #Solterra. The guy can't get me a Solterra for my price range, so he says "The all wheel drive is awesome and you can drive about 460 miles before you need to fill up." About an Impreza.

Dude: did you pay absolutely ZERO attention to what I want? Idiot.

Wow: "To help maintain long-term #battery health, DC Fast #Charging is limited to two cycles of charging (Low → 80%) per day throughout the year", says #Toyota about its #EV BZ4X. In the #Canadian market, that's a death knell. We have distances to cover.

No wonder you can buy 2023 #BZ4X / #Solterra with less than 2000km use for 40% below MSRP.

Tonight was fun. (I mean this literally AND sarcastically). Took the kids to a Winterfest. Had a great time. On the way home my car decided to gobble up range like mad.

Starting range: 180
Trip: 150

5 miles from home I had to pull into a Walmart parking lot because the car had hit zero range 10 miles prior.

Got the kids and wife a Lyft while I waited on a tow. Learned a valuable lesson tonight. If a round trip is 100 miles or more, plan to charge up. #ElectricVehicles #solterra
