What is my fave #spiceblend?

Take some chili seeds, some cardamom seeds, a bunch of black pepper, some juniper berries, some star anise, and some cloves, and then mash 'em all up together in your pestle.

Throw that over whatever you are cooking. Don't forget a dusting of paprika, dried fenugreek leaves, a couple of bay leaves.

The bay leaves are really important, I've discovered. I don't know what they add but I know what is missing if they aren't in there.
