#OTD in 1975, 2 years after losing in their first appearance in the final of cricket's Village Cup,
Gowerton beat Isleham at Lords by 6 wickets to become the first village to bring the trophy back to Wales
Since then, the trophy has returned to Wales on seven occasions:

St Fagans (1981, 1982, 1991)

The latter, few people know, is still headquartered in Cardiff
