At this point I'm contemplating rewriting this small #Quarkus application in #SpringBoot.
Every step on the way I'm running into some unsupported things.
Latest frustration: The Quarkus #Redis extension (based on Vert.x Redis 4.x) doesn't support Amazon #IAM. This will be supported in version 5. 🙃
While at the same time there's an official example from #AWS for Lettuce (which #SpringData Redis is based on).

I've been coding in the .NET ecosystem most of my professional career, and I still love it. If in doubt, it's still my go-to framework. BUT! I've been playing with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Spring Data for a few days now, and I must say that it is super convenient and nice to work with. My next pet project will definitely be done in the Spring ecosystem.

I'm back on the upgrades today. So far, a weird little bug with Spring data and `.deleteAll` on a JPA repository.
If you instead get them all and call `delete()` on each, it works?

Almost a classic: someone pinpointing a problem to the persistence layer when it actually resides in the model. And of course, getting a lot of advice on how to “fix” the persistence layer. There's a German word for trying to improve things but actually worsening them: “verschlimmbessern”.
