"We present the Feynman rules for …The equivalence principle is formulated by requiring that the renormalized values of the inertial and gravitational masses are equal. In contrast to previous of , all infinities that are encountered in the calculations of loop diagrams can be absorbed by the redefinition of the small number of parameters of the theory in the same way as in the gauge theories of the ."

Our foundational #information dynamics (FID) #research evolving from the Infomatics framework, previously yielded a robust prediction of a light, stable, charged scalar particle (Î₁) not in the Standard Model. Initially deemed a model "failure," we're re-evaluating this. Given the SM's known incompleteness, could such "anomalous" predictions from first-principles theories point to undiscovered #physics rather than flawed models? #TheoreticalPhysics #StandardModel #ParticlePhysics #Science

…about the physics. What’s left are hard problems. We’ve picked off all the low hanging fruit. The #StandardModel still wins #Survivor in terms of fitting (most) observations, experimental or otherwise. #Protons have not suddenly started decaying. #QuantumMechanics still helps us find ways to beat alleged limits on circuit building in spite of #Relativity getting the kids on the weekend

@ThreeSigma We’ve seen the various arguments for building / not building ever more powerful accelerators. We had to extend that reach to find Higgs.Theoretical constructs we use to explore where the #StandardModel breaks down have to incorporate what we already observe and what we cannot yet observe.Theoretical Physics can be a microscope or telescope but its application at the outset doesn’t require expensive hardware…

The muon g-2 puzzle rolls on.

"New, robust experimental measurements of the muon g-2’s dominant hadronic processes are also expected over the next couple of years. [...] It’s going to be an exciting few years. Being part of both the experiment and the theory means I have been privileged to see the process from both sides."

3/3…mainstream #Physics does acknowledge is that those two foundational aspects of the #StandardModel , #QuantumMechanics and #Relativity - don’t get along. There is , wait for it…a gap.
It’s not a coincidence. Stay tuned
