टैरिफ बढ़ोतरी का उद्देश्य
ट्रंप टैरिफ नीति का मकसद अमेरिकी स्टील उद्योग को मजबूत करना है। व्हाइट हाउस के अनुसार, यह कदम राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा को बढ़ाएगा। टैरिफ से आयातित धातुओं पर खतरा कम होगा। ट्रंप ने कहा, “कोई भी हमारा उद्योग नहीं चुरा सकता।” यह नीति अमेरिकी विनिर्माण को प्रोत्साहित करेगी।
भारत पर संभावित प्रभाव
भारत ने 2024 में अमेरिका को 4.56 अरब डॉलर का स्टील और एल्युमीनियम निर्यात किया। इसमें 3.1 अरब डॉलर का लौह-इस्पात शामिल था। हिंदुस्तान टाइम्स के अनुसार, टैरिफ नीति से भारत के निर्यात पर असर पड़ सकता है। अमेरिका में स्टील की कीमत 1180 डॉलर प्रति टन तक पहुंच सकती है। भारत में यह 500-550 डॉलर है।
अमेरिका में स्टील की कीमतें
अमेरिका में स्टील की कीमतें पहले से ही ऊंची हैं। वर्तमान में यह 984 डॉलर प्रति टन है, जबकि यूरोप में 690 डॉलर और चीन में 392 डॉलर है। टैरिफ नीति से कीमतें और बढ़ेंगी। जीटीआरआई के अध्ययन के अनुसार, अमेरिका में स्टील की कीमत 1180 डॉलर तक जा सकती है। यह भारतीय निर्यातकों के लिए चुनौती होगी।
ट्रंप की घोषणा और वैश्विक प्रतिक्रिया
