Pocket chair by Stone Designs for Blå Station
Dezeen Showroom: created by Stone Designs, Swedish furniture brand Blå Station has released an updated version of its Pocket lounge chair, which includes a storage nook.
The Pocket chair has a cup-like shape and features storage space under the seat, designed to provide a place to store items such as blankets, laptops or books.
The updated version of the Pocket chair has a slightly lower back and armrest, providing more comfort
"We came up with the idea in a ski resort," says Stone Designs co-founder Eva Prego. "People pile up their goggles, helmets and backpacks during breakfast and lunch so that it doesn't pick up dirt from the floor."
Pocket is also ideal for restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, waiting rooms, and offices since it frees up table space and keeps areas looking tidy.

The updated version of Pocket has slightly lower back and arm support, which Blå Station says gives it a more comfortable, cosy embrace.
Pocket is available upholstered in fabric or leather, with the option to have contrasting colours on the inside and outside.

Bend sofa by Stone Designs for Actiu
Dezeen Showroom: meandering rivers informed the design of the modular Bend sofa system, which Madrid studio Stone Designs has created for office furniture brand Actiu.
The Bend system includes four seating modules of different depths and curvatures that can be combined to form various configurations.
The rounded shape of the modules gives rise to fluid, undulating forms that according to Actiu were designed to evoke "water that navigates through the terrain".
Actiu has launched the modular Bend sofa system
Bend was developed by Stone Designs specifically for use in offices and workspaces to create informal seating areas for people to rest or socialise.
"Following on in the same footsteps as Actiu's earlier soft seating ranges, Bend aims to create different and inspiring spaces where one can conduct informal meetings, have a break or make a phone call, by way of a collection that is directly inspired by the free fluidity and harmony of nature," Actiu explained.
Modules are available with wooden legs
The modular nature of the sofa system means the seating can be easily reconfigured or adapted to different needs or users.
There are currently 18 different colour options for upholstery and a choice of either wooden or black metallic legs. Users can also accessorise the seating with backrests, charging stations, planters and desks or side tables.
