This black and white photograph depicts a modernist abstract sculpture composed of geometric shapes, including spheres and cones. The artwork is suspended in mid-air against an off-white background that appears to be part of its display setting.
The sculpture features several floating forms: two large spherical objects, one larger than the other; a smaller sphere above them; a cone-like shape pointing upward with open apex facing toward these spheres; another conical form lying on its side. The overall composition has an airy and minimalist quality suggesting it is part of a contemporary art exhibit.
The photograph captures this piece in great detail, highlighting the smooth textures and shadows cast by each object within the sculpture's shadowed recesses. This provides depth to their otherwise flat surfaces while creating contrast between light and dark areas throughout its structure.
In terms of context: National Broadcasting Co., Rockefeller Center refers specifically to NBC Studios at 30 Rock (Rockefeller Plaza) in New York City, which is part of the historic Rockefeller Center complex known for being home to major media companies. The date mentioned - October 23rd - might indicate when this photograph was taken or associated with an event related to it.
The reference "Gottscho-Schleisner" seems to point towards Gottschalks, Inc., a New York-based photography studio a [...]

The image is a black and white photograph of an interior space with architectural features. The perspective shows the corner where two walls meet, forming a right angle. One wall has a series of relief sculptures or cutouts that create geometric shapes in three-dimensional form, including what appears to be circles and lines creating abstract patterns.

Above this feature wall is a large skylight or vented section on the ceiling, allowing light into the space. The surface below the windows appears smooth but without any discernible features like fixtures or objects placed on it.

The floor extends towards an empty open area with no visible furniture or people within that part of the room. It seems to be a large expanse for movement, possibly indicating this could be a gallery or exhibition hall given its minimalist and clean design aesthetic.

Overall, the photograph captures the starkness and simplicity of modernist interior architecture from the mid-20th century.

The image depicts a classic office setting from the mid-20th century, showcasing an elegant and functional workspace. The photograph captures two desks against opposite walls in what appears to be a modernist-style interior with clean lines and minimalistic design.

On one side of the room stands a sleek desk made of light-colored wood or laminate, equipped with several drawers for storage below and shelves above that hold books and office supplies such as telephones. The back wall features a large window draped with patterned curtains, allowing natural light to illuminate the space.

Adjacent to it is another similar yet unoccupied work area on the opposite side, emphasizing symmetry in the room's design. In between these two desks are several chairs arranged for meetings or collaborative discussions. A noticeable feature of this office environment includes its simplicity and focus on utility without excessive ornamentation—a hallmark of mid-century modern aesthetics.

Overall, the image reflects an era where practicality met style within professional environments while maintaining a sense of orderliness and sophistication through architectural choices and furniture selection.

The image depicts an interior space, specifically a section of the First Federal Savings and Loan Association located in the RCA Building at Rockefeller Center in New York City. The photograph is taken on December 12th, 1944 and shows several modern design elements typical for that time period.
In this black-and-white photo, we can observe an expansive room with a polished concrete floor reflecting some light sources scattered around. A prominent feature of the space is a sleek, cantilevered reception desk on one side, likely intended to be unobtrusive and serve as an efficient communication point for visitors or personnel.
The area in front of the counter seems clean and minimalistic, with no clutter visible, suggesting that it might have been taken during off-hours or when not many people were present. On the right-hand side, a cylindrical structure, possibly part of a building's architectural design, stands tall near the room's back wall.
There are also other furniture pieces like chairs which add to the functionality and style of this space. The absence of natural light indicates that it is either an interior hallway or not directly exposed to sunlight coming through windows; instead, artificial lighting sources illuminate different parts of the room as seen in reflections on the floor.

I'm interested in Brooklyn's Passivhaus project for sure. And to some extent I might follow Noem. The new airport design for Bhutan looks gorgeous. What will it's HVAC be like?

An open double door, framed by neo-baroque pilasters and a wrought-iron decorative grille in the tympanum. The door opens onto a vaulted hallway with ceiling paintings and a lantern, as well as an inner courtyard with plants and reflective windows. In the middle of the courtyard, three larger-than-life cats in bright pink, orange and blue sit and stare directly at visitors. Are they the guardians of this house? Or even its owners? Well have to find out by day, otherwise all and everything will be grey...

Dataverse "Virtual Tables" are underrated.

Why replicate data from SQL into Dataverse if you don't have to? Virtual tables let you CRUD data sitting in SQL without moving it. Less storage cost, real-time access. Work smarter.
