Recently I finished my 3 EP series of #music composed in #Orca esoteric programming language with #SunVox virtual modular synthesizer. If you find it interesting - xsodect.bandcamp.com/music

And if you're enjoying it - today is #BandcampFriday so its the perfect time to support my work, while I'm already preparing something new.

💿 Xsodect - Parts III 💿

I finally delivered on my two years old promise to make three EP's consisting of finished material from various jams and sketches. And damn it's important to me, thanks to fediverse I've released more music than ever.

All #music is coded in #Orca with #SunVox modular virtual #synth

🎵 Xsodect - Parts III preview

A teaser for the last EP in the Parts series, consisting of finished material from jams and sketches. #Music is written entirely in #Orca with #Sunvox

Release April 26

two bugs in the #sunvox js player!
1) the arp that comes in around 40 seconds in here (chain starting at module 2D) sounds fine in sunvox but destroys everything on the web player, presumably because of the aggressively automated downsampling: lainalien.space/sunvox/?p=goon
2) the chords here (starting at module 11) should be gated! lainalien.space/sunvox?p=blop.

I recreated the sound of a rainstorm in SunVox using only its built-in synths and explained the project ⛈️☔

#5 Xsodect - Nome

The last one.
Original #febrajam sketch - layer8.space/@vacuumbeef/10987 (I think it was the moment I felt I'm really coming back to music after I got a lot of pleasant feedback on this one)

Initially it was made in #PureData and I had to redo it in #Sunvox, and for some reason it just didn't wanted to get good. I decided to drop it from the EP a lot of times, but somehow it managed to be released in the end.

#3 Xsodect - Torn Leaf

Originally made for @TodePond around a year ago
I tried to expand the track but was only making it worse, so apparently it's already perfect. Updated visuals a little and the leaf itself.

Got myself a new toy (Akai MPK Mini Mk3), it's fun to mess around with it in #Sunvox

A Picture of a gray Akai MPK Mini mk3 Midi controller, it has two octaves worth of piano keys, 8 knobs and 8 drum pads as well as a small joystick for controlling instruments settings, etc
