#Day26 Most disappointing drama of 2024
Nearly a tie for this. Both were released in 2023 but continued into this year.
#SweetHome2 scored a whopping 1.5/10 for me, only because of the 3 scenes that contained Song Kang. A total clunker.
#MoonInTheDay came out slightly ahead at 2/10 but I believe that I overrated that one. Pretty much everything about it was awful but FL did very well in the first 3 episodes or so.
Other than these 2 shows, everything I've watched scores 5+.

Sweet Home Season 2
(2023 - Netflix 8 1:11 eps)

Of the 3 parts, this has the lowest MDL rating at 8.0 (generous). The apartment residents from S1 have moved to a stadium with new people & stories that don't tie together. Acting is still marvelous, the CGI even scarier, unnecessary gore, & stories that you hope are for S3 (otherwise, why?)

Still makes you wonder if humans are monsters, but no new revelations. With so many new characters & only 8 eps, the depth isn't there. Song Kang is only in a few eps. When we see him, an appreciation for how much he brings to the work as an actor is evident. As the story finally focuses on his character, we are drawn back in. Glad I persevered to see the last couple of eps, but I only held on in the middle in the hopes that S3 would be much better.

Day 17: Best actor of 2023

This would have been trickier early in the month. However, this one is going to #SongKang.

For starters, his acting as #ChaHyunsu in #SweetHome2 was great. That season allowed us to see many sides of the character. Including, at times, to be a little out of his shell.

But also! His role in #MyDemon as #JungGuwon is the first time I’ve seen him in a romantic comedy role, and he’s great at that, too. Including physical comedy.

Okay, spoiler free impressions of Sweet Home S2: I liked it. A lot. Loved it? Maybe. :blobcatthink: I need to let that percolate.

I was worried about how they'd manage the sequel, but I'm satisfied with where they took it.

Okay so, reorganizing stuff, yet again. I'm currently (like right now) bingeing Sweet Home S2. Beyond that I'm kinda paused on everything. I might go after Enigma next, but my viewing is so scattered atm, I'm not sure yet.

Sweet Home Season 2 Ep2 🧵

Starting with a flashback to season 1 and reminding me how little time has passed since then.

Also underscoring once again how young Eun Hyuk is, by him referring to Jisu as noona.

He might have been the youngest adult there, now that I think about it, depending on how old Hyunsu is. (He’s definitely younger, but I don’t remember if he’s still a minor or not. Unsurprisingly, that haze he was living in confuses things for me.)

Which of course means, I now need to watch the show before YouTube just sends me all of it.

(Also, accidentally, as in I was looking for something else, and then saw the title for a short which itself was a spoiler and… I had to click it.)

I forgot how epic the #SweetHome soundtrack was. I'm rewatching season 1 before I start #SweetHome2! And I love that the way it was filmed feels like a comic book come to life.
