Eine großartige Initiative aus Hannover: IT-Profis vom TIB sichern wissenschaftliche Daten, die in den USA aus politischen Gründen gelöscht werden sollen – etwa zur Klimaforschung. Ein wichtiges Zeichen für freie Wissenschaft und den Erhalt von Wissen für kommende Generationen.

Habe für die "Aktionstage Nachhaltigkeit“ in der #TIBHannover eine Coffee Lecture "Digitale Welt, reale Auswirkungen - warum jedes Byte zählt" gemacht. Und da wir in einer #Bibliothek sind, gab's auch 1 nachhaltige #Buchempfehlung von mir als E-Book, auf meinem alten iPad. Surfen geht nicht mehr, aber super fürs Lesen, Radio hören…🤗 Mehr Tipps, was 1 mit alter Hardware, Raspis, Games, selbstgebauten Ü-Ei-Controllern uvm. cooles #hacken kann in "Geheimakte Computer“. 🙌

Die @tibhannover hat jetzt einen Song. 🥰😉 Zum Zukunftstag habe ich mit meinen 2 Besucherinnen zuerst das Rechenzentrum besucht und danach #KI im Alltag angeschaut. Besonders spannend fanden sie, wie einfach es ist, Songs mit der KI zu machen. Ihre hatten Mitmachbauernhof und Weltreise zum Thema. Mein Song geht über eine #Bibliothek in #Hannover:

We have a poster of Maryam Mirzakhani in the library. Unfortunately, it is not in the public area. Only employees can see it. This is a pity, because she is very inspiring. Unfortunately, she died much too early in 2017.
She won the Fields Medal in 2014 and gave the Guardian an interview:

I'm reading the book 'A Civic Technologist's Practice Guide' by Cyd Harrell right now and I want to underline things and make notes in the book with my pencil because there are so many great ideas about my job in there. But I can't. I borrowed the book from our library. 🙃📚
