Last night, for the first time in a long time, I came close to having a panic attack. As a transgender immigrant in the United States, it’s becoming harder and harder to breathe. Between a Supreme Court ruling that strips away healthcare for trans youth, rising hostility in the UK, and immigration decisions that now threaten legal residents like me, the ground beneath my feet is cracking. I moved here for love, for a future, but I’m now asking myself how long I’ll be safe. This is my story of fear, resilience, and a plea for hope in a world that feels like it’s turning against us.
