The closest FLGS to my house isn’t participating in Free RPG day, so before I brave the heat again and go across town, is there anything interesting being offered that won’t be immediately snatched up when the store opens? Especially anything OSR or indie?

Hit up my first FLGS for Free RPGs Day, came out empty-handed for #TTRPG stuff but with “A Gentle Rain” #boardgame.
People always say make a game that you would enjoy when you're working on your own #ttrpg.
Problem for me is the kind of game that I enjoy running is different from the kind of game that I enjoy playing. Nobody ever explained what to do when that problem happens.

Continuing to work on my new #TTRPG system based on D&D 5e, and I keep having a lot of "wait, that's actually in the rules?!" or just plain "WAT" moments.
Case in point: D&D 5e doesn't have rules for diving into water.
I also learned the hard way that you have to hunt all over the book for certain rules because #WotC didn't feel like duplicating content where it was, you know, helpful. *facepalm*
With all the fixes I'm putting in, I *cant'* *wait* to start playtesting.
Starting #FreeRPGDay off with #DCC, playing a gravedigger with a strength of 3.
