Anyone has a recommendation for an iOS app to frame screen recordings? Imagine: The ShareShot app ( https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/frame-screenshots-shareshot/id6474271573 ) but for videos.
Woke up to the new OpenAI update to work with Mac apps & thought: “Oh wow, they went there!”
Gave it a try: neat UI/UX. I still think #AlexSideBar is a better option for Xcode.
However, this works across multiple apps / terminals and that’s pretty neat.
Apple should add a disclosure group for archived/old IAP prices in the App Store to avoid displaying them next to current ones (screenshot).
It’s challenging for users (me at least) to discern current prices when deciding to download an app & checking IAPs.
Just found out about Departures.
It appears to be an amazing directory / listing for finding apps on TestFlight as well as their open/closed/full statuses.
Might have been known for a while, but I’m pretty much new to it.
I wish Apple’s #AirTags had more advanced options “Notify When Left Behind” such as “Notify When Left Behind, On This Particular Day(s), Between X and Y hours”.
Typical use-case: Work Tags being forgotten at home during work days, but being left at home during non-work hours.
Someone had a tip earlier regarding the Apple Watch. I can’t find the thread anymore, so I can’t reference them.
But they suggested turning off Bluetooth on the watch forces a faster download of a watchOS update over Wi-Fi.
I tried it, and that was amazing. An update that usually took close to an hour was done in 20 mins, and the download itself took 7 mins over my home Wi-Fi. Never really thought this could work independently of the phone.

We are two days from Samsung Unpacked and this is a return to flat. The Samsung flagship device with full pen support will yet again have a flat screen. While this may not seem like a big upgrade it mitigates alot of issues when the pen is on the curve. Over the next few weeks we will see if this and other changes will warrant a 1 year upgrade. #techthreads #bbtg

OnePlus is simply on a roll. I have loved my time with the OnePlus 11 and now OnePlus Open. This year is though and I will admit that I am making a slight change. Last year I purchased both the OnePlus 11 Pro aka the OPPO Find X6 Pro and the OnePlus 11. This year I will only purchase the OPPO Find X7 Ultra. I simply can't wait for it to arrive and start doing coverage on it.
One of the biggest limitations to RCS is the fact that chat is tied to the active data sim. If your RCS chats happen to be on your personal sim chats will break whenever you switch data to your work sim. This essentially crippled some of the gains of dual sim. It essentially forced you to get a bigger than necessary data plan on the sim that needed RCS chats. This issue has been rectified now as an upcoming release of Google messages will provide two number RCS chats. #bbtg #techthreads
