Let's be clear : We have a #SCOTUS that is aiding and abetting our adversaries, undermining our national security and violating the law ( perjury, racketeering, money laundering, bribery) right now. This is not some problem to maybe address Eighteen years from now. We need to invert the pyramid of #VestedPowers - meaning the more power you have the less time you are given to abuse it. Anything less( read more )than an eight year #TermLimit for #SCOTUS justices puts us right back where we started
In den #USA läuft sehr viel schief. Aber die Idee des #Termlimit sollten wir uns abschauen. Egal ob Demokrat oder Autokrant, je länger ein Anführer an der Macht ist, umso mehr wird er beratungsresistent und umgibt sich mit Ja-Sagern. Egal ob Putin, Erdogan oder Netanjahu oder auch Merkel und Kohl, am Ende machen die nur Blödsinn oder einfach gar nichts. Nach spätestens 10 Jahren sollten Regierungschefs den Hut nehmen.
I am sorry to hear it, and I respect her contributions, but it seems ludicrous to have folks 80, 85, 90 in the most important governing positions. They let power define them and it becomes addictive. #termlimit
