Last night my wife and I watched the Stranger Things Season 5 Finale. Wow, what a dud! I've never been so disappointed. The series needed to stop at Season 3. All the actors looked and felt tired in Seasons 4 and 5. Season 5, in particular, was a let down from the start. An overproduced trope and it felt like a cheap emulation of the 80s. The actors looked like they didn't even want to be there.
As for the finale, it wasn't emotional or amazing. It was predictable and unnecessarily long. The sci-fi horror had been replaced by nonstop choppy and rushed action scenes. Loose ends were not tied and a plethora of plot holes left more questions than answers. It was so bad that it ruined our night. We would have been better off just saving it for today.
